The
second week of session is usually pretty busy
with subcommittee and committee
meetings. This week was not a usual week,
however, as lawmakers honored political
leaders-both past and present. The Iowa
legislature did limited work Monday through
Wednesday due to Martin Luther King Jr. Day,
Inauguration of Barack Obama and the passing of
two respected former Iowa
