Legislative Candidates Endorsed

ABI's political action committee, the Iowa Industry PAC, has endorsed a number of state legislative candidates naming them "Friends of Iowa Business."  Through a detailed analysis of voting records, interviews and questionnaires, IIPAC evaluates candidates based on their ability to help create jobs in Iowa by supporting a competitive business climate. ABI Joins National Coalition on Capital Gains/Dividends

This week ABI joined a broad-based national coalition urging Congress to move quickly to enact legislation that would keep the capital gains and dividends tax rates at 15 percent.  Unless Congress acts, the tax rate for capital gains will increase by 33 percent and the tax rate for dividends will increase by as much as 164 percent, resulting in one of the largest tax increases in U.S. history.
