Congressional Recess Underway-Iowa's Delegation
Home
Iowa's
Congressional Delegation is back home for the
August recess. Several major pieces of
federal legislation are being considered and
your voice needs to be heard on business issues.
While the elected officials are back in the
state, they spend several days hosting town hall
meetings. Attending a meeting is a great
opportunity for you to voice your opinion on the
current climate change and health care
legislation pending in Congress. Continue

IIPAC
Support Needed As
reported in several earlier emails and letters,
the anti-business PACs are increasingly
out-pacing IIPAC in fundraising efforts.
Your help is needed to ensure pro-business
candidates are elected to the Iowa legislature.
If ABI is going to get back to advocating
for a pro-active business agenda, IIPAC must
grow through your support. Invest $250 or
even $100 today. To make a secure, on-line
pledge, CLICK HERE. |
 From the Desk Of...Michael
Ralston
ABI
has started the new fiscal year with a
bang. With one month in the books,
finances are performing ahead of budget,
association events being held across Iowa are
enjoying solid participation, and new programs
are off to a very strong start. And, in
the best news of all, ABI member companies seem
to be experiencing increased orders and
increased sales. Just like you
don't take your customers for granted, be
assured that ABI does not take you for
granted. We know that you have an
unlimited number of organizations in which your
company can invest; we are grateful for the
investment that you make in
ABI. So, while some key metrics
point to a terrific start to the fiscal year,
just as important is what you as an ABI member
have to say about our work. What programs
are adding value to your company? Are
meeting and event locations and other
arrangements convenient for you and your
employees? Are there other issues you
would like to see ABI address? Continue
